Dear Joan and family, I was sadden to hear of our Doctor Jay's passing. He was always a super and wonderful man, and I held him in high respect. I have been trying to get in touch with you both to thank you for all your support in assisting me to change my ways to become more of a positive individual in life. The example you both portrayed was a tremendous help. We both understand that life is difficult, and we can never give up doing our best while we are still here on top. Again, I am sorry for our loss of a tremendous person like Doctor Jay and hope to talk to you in the future. Love and stay safe, LTC.(Ret.) Norman j. Everston

My condolences to the Friedlin family. I will always remember Dr. Friedlin for his kind, gentle ways; a man with hands of gold and character to match. How fortunate I was to have had him as a mentor into the Osteopathic Profession. He will be missed and always remembered.

I first met Jay in 1956 when Joan and I were first year"probie" nursing students at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Nursing. Joan and I reported to the 20th and Susquehanna Osteopathic Hospital North Philadelphia to begin our Nursing careers. Jay was an Intern at the hospital and was present for our first day there. Soon after we met Jay ,it became evident that Joan would not finish her nursing career! They were a perfect match.
Jay finished his internship and set up his practice at his home in Pitman NJ. They were married there (I was the maid of honor).
I finished my Nursing school, and met my future husband, Al Wozniak, also a lifelong resident of Pitman NJ and a medical student at PCOM! We also returned to Pitman live but set up a medical office in Williamstown NJ.
We remained lifelong friends to this day....altho the Pandemic did keep us apart .....
I have so many happy memories of Jay, a well respected physician and resident ,along with his family in Pitman, and will always cherish those memories of wonderful, fun, and also sad times.
He will be missed.

Dr. Friedlin was an amazing person as you all know. I had the absolute pleasure and honor talking to him a few times at Pitman Manor and when I did, it always felt so peaceful afterwards. His voice had this calming presence and he was always so thankful for any assistance. God called upon a wonderful man and I know that he will look over everyone he cared about from heaven. God Bless!
