We swam at "Aunt " Mary & "Uncle" Earl's house while on summer vacation from Tucson, Arizona in the late 1969's. My Mother, Margaret (Maggie) Conner Magee would drive us back East in August to visit the Conner Clan in Hammonton, NJ & Blue Anchor! Also when Holly & I lived in Haddonfield, NJ we managed a visit or two to their home & marveled at Earls wooden carvings. Amazing talent! We are sorry for your loss!

Gary and family, please accept my sympathy for the loss of your dear mother. Clearly she led a full life and shared her many talents with those fortunate to be in her company. She was quite an accomplished lady who left behind a trail of inspiration. I feel diminished for not having known her.

Linda and I want to express our deepest sympathies to Carol, Gary & their families. We received the notice of her passing on Saturday and unfortunately it was to late for us to attend her funeral. I will cherish the fond memories of Aunt Mary and Uncle Earl forever. They were very special people and much loved by both myself and Linda.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Mary....she was such a special person...so classy and dignified yet down-to-earth and friendly....except in the pool teaching a non-swimmer like me how to float. I always felt bad that I was the only person in South Jersey that she was unable to teach. But she was persistent. She gave me 4 sessions over two summers and I still swam like a ROCK!! We'll miss you, Aunt Mary.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Mary....she was such a special person....so classy and dignified and yet down-to-earth and friendly, except in the pool teaching a non-swimmer like me how to float. I always felt bad that I was probably the only person in South Jersey that she was unable to teach! Not for lack of trying....she gave me 4sessions over 2 summers and I still swam like a rock.

Condolences to all of Mary's family. I didn't know Mary & Earl as well as my sister or parents, but it was always a nicer day when Earl & Mary were part of our gatherings, from the years in Glassboro to Florida. May the wonderful memories of Mary and the peace that comes in knowing that she is now enjoying being with the Lord lighten your sadness and bring you increasing joy in the days to come.

I work for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department under the late Ms. Saul's son Gary. I just wanted to comment that I didn't know Ms. Saul. However, I was inspired by her obituary. She was obviously an extraordinary woman, a life-long learner, a leader, and Christ-centered role model. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Saul extended family during this time to relfect on and celebrate a beautiful life.

I was first introduced to Mary and Earl Saul by my twin sister, Micki(Henderson) Mossbrucker, who had formed a close friendship with this wonderful couple while practicing dental hygiene in a practice directly across the street from their lovely home. Our entire family was invited to a gathering at their home. We still recall and reminisce about the gracious and generous hosts who welcomed us warmly and shared hugs (including famous Earl bear hugs),as well as their delightful company and still famous BBQ and roasted corn!

Mary Saul joined the Gloucester County Association of Educational Secretaries in 1968 at which time she was the Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools. She became very active in that group as Vice President and President. She also joined the New Jersey State Association (NJAES) and took the college credit courses which were recommended by the NJAES. She proudly received a certificate from Dr. Thomas Robinson from Glassboro State and she told us that he was very supportive of the secretaries earning credits. After she received her certificate, she received a call to attend the Executive Committee. She served on the Executive Committee for 16 years and served as President of NJAES (New Jersey Association of Educational Secretaries) from 1982 to 1984. In a letter we received from her for our 75th Annual Convention Diamond Jubilee (November 8, 2012), she expressed, “I have loved every bit of it, feel I have learned by far more that I can now remember and made many lifelong friends from whom I still hear.” The association is now named: New Jersey Association of Educational Office Professionals and we were all thrilled when she walked through that door at the 75th Convention with her daughter. Mary, you will be missed.
