Yes, Ricky will be missed. Those "Redrow" kids are people who you want as your cousins. We as a family had so much fun together growing up, visiting PopPop's farm every Sunday from little kids and then as late teens and adults camping as "Bear Cub Campers". Now he is with his Mom & Dad, my Aunt Bunny and Uncle Pat. Aunt Bunny, was the best Aunt in the world. Rest in Peace until we all can "camp" together again. Your Cousin, Lynn Powell-Heulings

Rick was my friend the way only teenagers can be, meaning he was my family. He rarely made the jokes, but was always the first to laugh. He was so kind. I wore a denim jacket for about twenty years (which I had later covered with symbols for each of “our gang,”) that he gave me. Why did he give me a denim jacket? No, we never dated, or even exchanged holiday gifts, but I he gave it because I was cold one night, and while about eight of us were together, Rick was the guy who very literally gave me the coat off his back. That’s who he was. Thank you my friend, for everything.

I can think of fewer finer people to have misspent my youth with. From troublesome teens to adventurous twenty-somethings we bonded over parties, frisbee, myriad concerts, whitewater rafting, total geekdom playing D&D, and growing into ourselves as responsible adults. It was fun to catch up now and again to measure how far we’d traveled together and in parallel lives. Rick was always cool and calm - not easily agitated or angered. His laugh still echoes in my ears and in my heart. Rest easy, my friend. A photo from around 1980 with Rick, Mark Leaverton, Jack Stackhouse, me, and Bradley Smith.
