Obituary of Bertha Marie Batten

B. Marie Batten (nee Beloff), age 93, died on November 15, 2021. Marie was a graduate of Tuckerton High School and received her diploma in Nursing from Jefferson University Hospital. Marie worked as a Registered Nurse for Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia and also worked in Public Health in Ocean County. She lived in Pitman over 55 years. Marie was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Woodbury. She loved to travel to New England, especially Cape Cod. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She was the wife of the late Dr. Robert A. Batten. Survived by daughters Marie Suzanne Woodard, Carolyn Jean Pye, son in law William Francis Pye, and grandchildren Evan Andrew Phifer and Larissa Ellen Phifer. Friends may greet the family after 9am on Thursday in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 10am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, NJ..
