Sincere condolences to Mae’s family. She was our classmate at Woodbury high school. She was very much loved. We also knew her from Kemble Methodist Church. We would very much like to speak with a family member. Our phone number is 856-848-7449. Kay Walter Pierson

I was born 10 years after my brothers and sister so my memories are much different than theirs when it comes to mom and our life together. I don’t remember too much about my very young childhood before we moved to Southern NJ. My mom went through many difficult times through my portion of her life but she taught me many things about how to make it through hard times both financial and emotional. We still had many good times together and she did all she could to make the best out of difficult situations. She treated my wife, Maria Eli, so well and they ended up spending a lot of time doing things together while I was a work. I miss mom but I take comfort in knowing that now she is in heaven and no longer has any pain or sadness.

I always called her mother of the neighborhood. She had her hands full with her own children but treated the neighborhood children as her own. Her hope and heart were open to us all. She took us places, taught us thing( gardening, child care, cooking). She was a good example of proper behavior and expected that in return. She was strong in difficult times and was able to weather life’s storms with dignity and resolve. She touched us with her life and for that we are grateful. May God receive her with joy. Love, Mary Jane

Thank you Mom for raising such a wonderful daughter who become the love of my life and who allowed me to be a part of your life. You brought joy to the simple things in life that provided your grandkids with the endless joy during your visits! The similes you brought to our family during those long nights of UNO will be missed. I don't know anyone on earth with the stamina you showed, regardless of how tired you were or how much pain you might have been in.. You always had one more game in you … I thank you for showing us all how precocious our time together is and the sacrifices we make personally to show love. You will be Missed!

I always enjoyed sitting down and catching up with Aunt Mae whenever we saw her. She was always so sweet and caring and had a way of making it feel like it hadn't been so long since we had last seen each other. We are so sorry for the loss you are feeling and hope that all the beautiful memories you have will help to ease your grief. Sending love and prayers to comfort you. Mary and Steve and Family

The memories I have of Aunt Mae make me feel warm and loved. She gave the best hugs and loved to laugh. When anyone spent time with her, she gave you her complete attention and made you feel important. The world will be a lesser place without her in it. My heart breaks for her kids, their spouses, and her grandchildren, and Reed and I send our love during this difficult time. May your memories of Aunt Mae bring you peace and joy rather than sadness soon. We love you.

Mae was my sister-in-law for over 53 years. She was more a sister than an in law. We loved her dearly and have many memories of good family times. God blessed us with this loving, caring sister, but she is now free of the sickness that took her and she will be in Glory for eternity with all those who have gone before her...until we are together again. We love you Mae!

To me she will always be Mae. With a mother with the same first name (Ethel), she was called Mae by everyone at home. She was my big sister and in many ways a second Mother. She said that other girls her age had dolls, but she had an infant baby brother. She had the real thing (me)!
Mae was a kind and caring Aunt to all my children. She will be missed by all of us!
Her loving brother, Wilber.
