Obituary of Beverly Joyce Davis

Beverly Joyce Davis (nee Broadwell), age 85, went home to be with her Savior on September 2, 2021. Born in Heidelberg, Pennsylvania, Beverly attended Eastern Pilgrim College where she met her beloved husband of 65 years, James Davis. After faithfully serving alongside her husband during his pastorate, they settled in Glassboro, New Jersey in 1972, where she lived out the rest of her years. She earned a Master's Degree in Education and Certification in Administration from Glassboro State College and finished out an accomplished career at Gloucester County Institute of Technology. She was also an active member of the Richwood United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Beverly had many titles throughout her life, but her favorite was "Nana." She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, her "greats," as she affectionately called them. She always made sure that they were the best dressed kids at school. As she often said, her family was her treasure. She is survived by her husband, James H. Davis, daughters; Kathy (Joseph) Drissel, Susan (Scott) Donaldson, and Amy Davis, brother; David (Brenda) Broadwell, grandchildren; Ryan (Marcela) Drissel, Samuel Drissel, James (Stephanie) Donaldson, Emily (Jeff) Smith, Joshua McCraw, Abel McCraw, and great grandchildren: Alec, Derek, Dominic, Gabriela, Isabela, Avery, Wyatt, and Jamie. Friends may greet the family from 9-11am on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Richwood United Methodist Church, 104 Richwood Rd, Richwood, NJ 08074. Funeral service will be held at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richwood United Methodist Church Building Fund at the above address.
