Kevin, Ian, and the entire Anderson family. My deepest condolences to all of you.
When I read the news of the passing of your father a shadow crossed over my heart. Your dad or as I would call him, Mr. A, was my special education teacher at Vare elementary school in South Philly in the late 70’s early 80’s. Your father was not only a phenomenal teacher but an outstanding human being. He left an incredible impression on me and I owe him a tremendous amount of gratitude to this very day. Not only in the education I received but in life in general; he enlightened me in so many ways. From the love of reading to the passion for the game of baseball. He was also a huge help to me throughout my awkward years as a youth. His advice and guidance were always treasured. Even when I would stop by many years later from time to time to say hello, he would invite me into his home with his infectious smile and we would talk for hours as if forty years hadn’t passed. His unselfishness and loyalty had no bounds. The legacy Mr. A left us runs deep within me and everyone he had touched throughout his life. He was more than just a teacher to me, he was my friend and always will be my mentor. Your father will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

Jim and Nancy, my condolences on your brother's passing and my broader condolences to Joe's children and grandchildren.
I went all through grade school and high school with your brother. We played every sport together in our "Park" across the street from your home . Of course, Joe played them all better than me and better than most. He left an indelible impression as someone who enjoyed life, who saw and appreciated the humor in things but was loyal and supportive when a friend was dealing with life's more serious challenges.
I'll never forget his wit, his laugh, and his friendship.
My sympathies.

Joe and I met over twenty five years ago thru the Pitman Little League. Even though I was involved with girls softball and Joe with boys baseball, we crossed paths frequently. Later, on a dusty ballfield when Joe was umpiring, or at Wawa in the morning getting a cup of coffee. Joe was truly one of the great people that makes Pitman a terrific town to live in and raise a family. Another wonderful man taken from us much too soon. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers to Joe ‘s family are sadly sent. We were blessed to have worked with Joe at BOK Technical High School for many years where he was one fabulous educator! Joe was also an all around staff member who aside from being a special education teacher filled many positions aside from classroom teacher. His impact on the students and staff was immeasurable! Rest In Peace dear colleague but more importantly dear friend! Joseph Kevin Anderson ,as the main office would often page him, report to Heaven! Thanks for the memories, Joe!

So many memories rushed through my head when I heard you passed...from day one on Fernon St, Vare school yard where you taught Kevin how to pitch On me with no helmet (my nose is still crooked bc of that), undefeated baseball seasons, 2 a days at Fox park during the summer, to Hollydell for hockey and midnight skates at UPENN, to getting lost going the baseball HofF and winding up at the Canadian border, Gutting my first house, showing up to my wedding with a sword, and to many dinners and movies with my dad And most of all laughs ...I pray you are at peace Rest easy Fearless Leader/Coach/and most importantly Friend.

Coach had a great impact on my life ever since his family moved to town just prior to Kevin’s 10-year old Little League season. I was fortunate to play for him for six years - he was an incredible coach, cared a great deal about all his players, and taught us how to become ballplayers. So sorry to the Anderson family for your loss - but you should know the positive influence Coach had on a generation of young Pitman ballplayers back in the day.
