I had the honor of celebrating Nona's 100 Birthday with Laura and her family!! We had Nona's favorite foods: chicken cutlets, baked ziti, and strawberry shortcake! So sorry for the loss of Nona, but I'm happy that she lived a long, wonderful life.
With Love, Pamela Lee xoxo

My husband, Tony, and I were in a dinner group many years ago with Les and Liz Bunce. We also attended the same church. I remember both of them so well. Liz had so much class and she always had a smile for us. It was so sad when Lester passed away and now another sad time losing Liz. She had a long and beautiful life. I am thankful to have known her.

Liz will always hold a special place in my heart. I met her when my family and I moved next store to her in November 1998. She eventually became an honorary member of my family. I really enjoyed her humor, her stories and all that she willingly shared over the years. I had a lot of laughs with Liz, as did my family. I will always remember how much she enjoyed watching my husband work on outside projects for the house. I have missed her since she had to move away and will always regret not finding the time to visit her. She was a very special lady and definitely made an impact on me and my family. Liz, may you Rest In Peace. May her family find solace in all the wonderful memories they have of her, as I have no doubt there are plenty.
With love and sympathy,
Denise, Mark, Jeremy, Douglas and Jillian Mazur

I had a very high regard for Elizabeth (Mrs. to me) Bunce and her husband. (Her daughter Betty and I were classmates in the PHS class of 1960.) Mrs. Bunce always struck me as a competent, no-nonsense woman who ran, you might say, a tight ship, so she was a little daunting for young people to approach. Mrs. Bunce and I both went to the Episcopal Church on Highland Terrace where I served as an acolyte, so maybe that gave me a little shield with which to approach her, so I did. I found her very thoughtful, kind and welcoming. I remember returning to Pitman as a cadet at West Point and walking by her house on Columbia Avenue. There was a warm light on in the living room window, so I knocked on the door. Mrs. Bunce seemed so happy to see me; she invited me in (no one else was home) and we had a lovely conversation. I was so glad I had overcome my trepidations about the sharp eye through which she observed goings-on. I will always remember that light in the Bunce window and the lovely woman reading under the lamp and ready to welcome the world outside. I am glad she had such a long life to enjoy it, and that I have a chance to share Betty’s loss. Joe Zengerle

My Nona was my best friend- I will truly miss her. I am thankful that I have so many memories and I was able to spend the last few days of her life with her. I love you Nona forever. Laura Black
