To Don and the Allen family, please accept my sincerest condolences. I had the honor of working with Carole at Clearview for the entirety of my career. Carole was such a key part of the Clearview community. I love Chris Ritter's description of the enormity of Carole's role in the smooth functioning of the unwieldy beast that is a high school. A lot of moving parts have to come together and the hub was often Carole. I was surprised to run into her at a local grocery store not too long ago. "What are you doing here on a school day," I asked. "Who's running the school?" Carole was both tough and gracious and the sooner you figured out how integral she was to day-to-day operations, the sooner the administrative side of your job became much easier. She was called way too soon. Probably St. Peter at the pearly gates was having difficulty managing his task and knew whom to call. I'm sure things in heaven are running much more smoothly now. Rest in peace, my friend, you will be sorely missed.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Carole's grandkids were preschoolers in my classroom of Clearview Little Pioneers. She was so proud of her grandchildren! She will be missed. May she rest in the peace of our Lord's embrace.

My sincerest condolences to the Allen and Lane Families. Carole and I worked together for many years at Clearview. She could do everything! I joked at her retirement luncheon that she could design a High School Master Schedule in her sleep. There is no doubt in my mind that she could!! She was an integral member of the Clearview Staff. We had many laughs together. I will miss her very much! Rest in peace Carole.

My sincere sympathies go out to the family. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Carole was always there to help and she knew exactly what to do to fix any problem. I counted on her often and gladly returned the favor when asked. I only hope that her loving memory will help ease the family's pain in this time of need. She will be greatly missed!

Not long after I started teaching at Clearview, I was assigned "office duty." There and then I got to know Carole very well. I'm afraid I wasn't much use to her. I didn't know anything. I didn't know about student working papers, or senior parking, or how to look up a teacher's schedule, or how to contact a custodian to manage some messy disaster. During my time in the office I learned a lot, but still had to consult the expert regularly. I should say that I don't think Carole suffered fools easily, but she was always patient with me, and never made me feel like the fool I was. She helped me find my footing at Clearview. I watched her daily surmount the insurmountable and keep the place running. Sometimes it was like watching a skilled magician. Need coverage for a class? Presto! The amazing Carole made it happen! Forgot your paperwork? Abracadabra! Carole's got it filled out and all you have to do is sign it! She was incredible.
I'm pleased to say that over the years we became friends. We'd chat about our kids, grandkids, too, in her case, but what we'd talk about the most were our dogs. She had a soft spot for golden retrievers, even when they had a hard time living up to being golden retrievers. And I guess that's what I loved most about Carole - her generosity and kindness, her soft spot for us when we have a hard time living up to who we are or who we're supposed to be. I owe her a lot, and miss her greatly.
I wish her and her family peace and love always.

Carol was the one you go to or ask if you need an answer. She was the cog in Clearview’s wheels. May her family and friends be comforted in knowing she was loved. May you be continually blessed.
