Gert was my right hand at the Health Department until she retired. She was always willing to do anything that I asked her to even willing to learn the computer. I really missed her after she retired. Our prayers are with her family!

I remember Gert from my time at the Health Department as well. She talked often of her family, always had a smile and was lovely to work with. My condolences to the family and prayers for her well deserved eternal rest.

I worked with this lovely lady from 1985 until she retired. She was always kind and taught me lots about compassion. I admired her dedication and consideration and willingness to pitch in regardless of the job. May she rest in peace, she earned it. Peace to her family, treasure your memories.q7

Mom - your passion was always your family. You were there for us with a kind and encouraging word, even in the times that were tough for you. You took so much happiness from seeing your children and grandchildren happy. And Aunt Lorraine is so right - you never had a bad word for anyone. I learned what I know about kindness and caring from you. You let us know how proud you were of us. This Mother's Day, and those that follow, I will celebrate your life, remind you how much I still love you and how fortunate I was to be able to call you "Mom". As you continue looking down on us from heaven, hope you feel some of that pride for yourself: you did an awesome job as our mother!

I will miss my dear sweet sister who never had a bad word for anyone. I am glad we were able to see her at Thanksgiving. She had us laughing with some crazy stories about the Chickens the kids had when they were young how she had to kill them and cook them and not let the kids know they were their chickens. I will miss you Love you always.

Love and miss you Aunt Gert! Two sisters may have been separated by miles but their phone calls were always fun! Aunt Gert wore hearing aides and my mom (her sister Lorraine) is deaf in one ear - you can only imagine how the calls went!

I’ll never forget the time me and Bill took Gert to New York. We stopped in Brooklyn to visit Aunt Lorraine and uncle Mike. She was so happy to spend time with them. We drove thru her old neighborhood in Brooklyn and that brought back some good memories for her. Then we took her to Times Square and had her in her wheel chair on the streets of Manhattan. She was so excited about being in Time Square. We stayed overnight in a fancy Hotel in Manhattan. In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel and both me and her were shocked at the price for the breakfast. We ended up taking some of the small bottles of jellies that came with the breakfast. She was so excited and happy on that trip. My one regret - we didn’t take her on a hot air ballon ride - that was her wish for her 80th birthday! Rest In Peace Gert!

So sad to hear of Gert's passing. I fondly remember Gert and Terry coming into Friendlys on RT. 45 in Wenonah when I worked there. I absolutely loved and adored them. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.
