Obituary of Roger Eugene Irelan

Roger E. Irelan, age 89, died on September 20, 2019 at Cardinal Village where he lived for the past 20 years. Roger lived in Pitman most of his life. He served in the US Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. Roger began his career as a patrolman for the Pitman Police Department in 1957. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1963 and Chief of Police in 1969. Roger retired from the Pitman Police Department in 1972. Survived by brother Russell A., sister Iris I. Hecker, nephews Jimmy Baran, Larry Irelan and niece June Baran. Graveside services will be at 2pm on Thursday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
