Barbara I am so sorry that I have lost a good friend. I loved George and would do anything for him. I know that he is in a better place now, no longer fighting and no longer in pain. I know that god had a plan for him and called him to carry out that plan. I will always be proud to call you and George my friends and will miss him always.

As soon as the daffodils would bloom, Jake would plow the ground for our Barnsboro garden. It was a rite of spring to see him on his tractor in his favorite hat.
We never officially knew who was ahead money-wise. Tomato plants were generously swapped for rims and tires. A Ford starter was an acceptable exchange for cubanelle pepper plants. Transmission advice was happily traded for hints about ridding the property of groundhogs and beetles. We sure were lucky to have such a wise and patient friend.
Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of such a fine man. His junkyard friends will miss him forever.
ps: When Jake was a kid, Nick was his busdriver. We pray he reaches his new destination. The long battle is finally over. Peacefully rest.

Dear Ballinger Family,
I am a nephew of the late Chuck DeHart. I spent all of my youth living and working on our family farm in Thorofare. Once I was 16, it was my job to drive the truck over to Philadelphia to deliver our days produce to the market. Many the days Jake and I would see each other during the growing season. It may be that we saw each other on the dock or often we would pass each other on the bridge or the highway. If we passed each other on the road we always waved to each other. Our conversations at market were always good ones. It seemed we were always looking for each other to say hi. I remember those long summer farm days and miss them so much. Jake was a great and very respectful man.
From one barefoot farm boy to another, Rest In Peace I’ll hoe the rest of the row.
Ched Baker. Thorofare, NJ

Dear Bridget and family, Sarah and I just wanted to express our sympathy to you and your whole family. Although we never had the pleasure of getting to know your dad, I'm sure he was a good man based on the great kids he raised.
Love Sarah and Stan

My deepest sympathies to the entire family, Jake was a friendly and caring guy. I will miss not seeing him in the fields. I remember one winter night with snow on the ground Jake came over to the house barefoot to deliver a pie that his mom had made for Phil and I. I have a lot of good memories of Jake and I will miss him dearly.
Jake fought a long hard battle and he will be missed by many
