I was a classmate of John “Pete” Parks at Athens High School, the class of 1962. Pete and I were the same age.
I was saddened to hear of Pete's death yesterday via email from two other high school classmates, Kate Robbins Jones and Jack Childs. Having not seen Pete in many years, I was pleased to read in his obituary that he was a very successful person and a family man. He certainly was a friendly fellow and fun to be with in high school.
My heart goes out to his family and friends during this very sad time.
