I am sorry for his passing but know that he is with our God. I will always remember both he and MaryLea. When I was baptized he was in the water with me which helped because I was afraid of having my face in the water from previous scares. But I was so at peace that I didn't even hold my nose. God bless you all.

I was so sorry to hear about Dwight's passing. I will never forget the time that Dwight, Mary Lea, and Linda were our next door neighbors -- such wonderful memories. I am sad at Dwight's passing but also know it is a time for celebration because I know that Dwight is alive and well with our Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord for that!

Oh how I will miss him. He was my cheerleader. He was a doer. He was a man of tremendous faith. He enthusiastically supported Christian education! He was a capable teacher. He was a storyteller. He demonstrated unbelievable compassion. He was generous. He was a model husband and father. He deeply loved his own children, and other children adopted him as their dad. He died at peace. He was ready to go home, but he will leave scores of us missing both him and his godly influence. Heaven will be sweeter because we knew him here. Our world needs more like him.

Dear Thompson family:
I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.

Mary Lea, Todd, Jana Lea and family.
Dwight was my favorite cousin. He had the hottest sports cars and was one cool cousin. He and I shared the same love of growing up on the farms in Ohio.
I have a favorite quote from an ole Irish gravestone: " Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
Dwight will be missed.
My prayers are with you all.

As i read the life of Dwight, it was an fulfilling life with teaching, coaching,
and a wonderful father, grandfather and husband of 57 years.
When we lose a loved one in death, words can't express in its entirety
the emptiness we feel inside.
I share this comfort from Rev 21:3,4 that soon God will end pain, death,
and sorrow.
Continue to cherish the support that you have from loving friends, and
family.

Mr. Dwight lit up the room with his smile, always had the kindest things to say and was encouraging to us Youngins. I always loved the Sunday’s when he would be the song leader, they would often be my favorite hymns. Sending love and prayers to NJ.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dwight. I know he has been having health problems but it is never easy to let him go. I hope you and the family are doing well. 57 years is a long time. I will never forget when you got married how you both sang to each other while you were talking down the aisle. Most beautiful service as it was so special. Take time to remember all the good times you had and you have had many. God Bless you and your family. GOD BLESS you all.

Dwight’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.
