I will always remember Uncle Hal's whistle and how I wished I could whistle like that! I loved the way he would play the piano and sing! He was very caring and thoughtful and was always there if you needed him. His smile was contagious! "Hello yourself and see how you like it" was his greeting when you said hello! I love you and will miss you Uncle Hal.

I am so sorry on the loss of your dear Harold. Nothing can erase the beautiful memories that you have shared with your loved one. Focus on that in the days/weeks/ months ahead, and remember that God saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalms 34:17 & 18) My deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time.

Harold’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Uncle Hal was so joyful and loving. He accepted each of us exactly as we are--welcoming new family and loving all of us with all of our quirks. My mom always spoke highly of spending weekly lunches with him and the rest of their lunch crew. He was a wonderful person to have in the world.
I'll always remember my surprise when he met one of my uncles on my maternal side. I didn't think they knew each other, but it turns out they were work buddies decades before and a grand time catching up.
Love you, Uncle Hal! My condolences to all of your family and friends, but especially to Nancy, Harry, Solveig, and John.

We will always remember Uncle Harold as that person responsible for us being married. Frances worked with him in Washington DC and he introduced her to Donald. We were married 6 months later and remain married - 53 years. Thank you Uncle Harold for that introduction, and for your always smiling face. You loved life and always presented a positive outlook. We love you and will miss you,

When I think of Harold my first thought is when he played his own Boogie boogie on the piano.
When he and Nancy came to Norway for Asta’s funeral he attended the memorial service and sang a beautiful song to her
memory. He always liked to play around with his nieces and nephews.
Thank you Harold for many good memories.
Love
Solveig, Oddvard, Else and Thomas
