Summer and Mike your Mom was the best supervisor I ever worked for at Ancora. I will always remember when she would bring piglets and kittens to work so they could be fed every two hours. We would sit in the office and talk while we were saving the life of one more of God's creatures. I will always be thankful to have had her in my life. She will never be forgotten

Summer I have tried to contact your Mom by phone and text several times the last two weeks. I wanted her to know I was coming home for a visit Oct 16th to Nov 13th. I just learned this AM she passed. I am so very sorry I missed her memorial service. I hope to see you and Mike before I leave town. All my love and heart felt sorrow to you and your family. JudiG

I remembered another time Sue and I shared. We both loved horses. Two of our favorite horses had colts at the same time. Their names were Rusty and Dusty. On their one year birthday, we wanted to do something. We made them each a straw hat with cut outs for their ears. Then we cored apples and stuck a carrot in them for their one year birthday candle. We sang Happy Birthday and fed them their cakes!!

Sue and I were great friends in our childhood. I was always at her house. We had lots of sleepovers and pool parties. Once, when I was spending the night, the boys were all outside skinny dipping. Sue and I snuck out and stole all their clothes. They chased us down DuBois Ave.!!
We used to sing and do routines to the Supremes.
But, the best time of all was when Sue's mom took us to NYC for the weekend to see the Beatles at Shea Stadium.....something neither of us would ever forget! After the concert, Sue's mom met us outside. We got a taxi. She asked the taxi driver to take us to a place where we might meet some movie stars. He took us to Arthur's Disco. We met so many stars and musicians that night. Soupy Sales was the best! We told him we had been to see the Beatles earlier. A little tipsy; but, SO friendly! He whispered to us, "If you tell anyone what I'm about to tell you, you will only ruin it for yourselves; but, George Harrison is supposed to come here tonight." Because of that, we begged Sue's mom to stay as long as it took. It was around 4 a.m. that George showed up. Sue gave him a stuffed animal. He said, "It's a bit past your bedtime, ain't it luv?" He was very friendly and signed the John Lennon book, "A Spaniard in the Works". [I wonder if Sue still has it?] When we got back home, a man came to interview us from our local paper. He took a picture of Sue and I in front of the fireplace looking at George's autograph. Maybe I'll repost it on FB today in honor of her. That was the thrill of a lifetime for both of us!! And, Sunday was so awesome to make it all happen and do that with us!! I love you, Sue!!! Say hi to George for me, will you???
