Obituary of Claire I. Austin

Claire I. Austin (nee Gallagher), age 89 died on November 29, 2017 at her home in Washington Twp. where she lived most of her life. The youngest of seven siblings, Claire was born and raised in Glassboro area. She graduated from Glassboro Normal School in 1946. Claire formerly worked for Owen's Fiberglass and also spent many years catering for Masso's in Glassboro. She retired from Washington Twp. High School where she worked in the cafeteria for 25 years. Claire loved to cook and bake for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. Predeceased by her husband Roger W. Sr. and son Elwood. Survived by her son Roger W. Jr. (Barbara), grandchildren Roger III, John (Chrisha), Brittany (David) Dougherty, Christina and great grandchildren Rachel, Kyle, CJ, Jake and Kyra Austin. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday after 9am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
