Armon W. Diedrich, Jr., age 83 years, of Pitman, NJ, died June 2 at his brother's home in Woodbury, NJ. Born in Woodbury, he graduated from Woodbury High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army in the Military Railroad Transportation Corps from 1953-56., and retired from the NJ Turnpike Authority with 37 years' service. Armon graduated from Barnes Arboretum School, Merion, PA, and was a member of the German Society of Pennsylvania, Whites Bog Preservation Trust, Scott Arboretum and was a Camden County Master Gardener. He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Woodbury. Predeceased by his wife Marlene (nee Schmidt).
Survived by his brother Thomas of Woodbury, stepsons David Free (Denise), and Ted Free (Bridget), and stepgrandchildren; Joshua, Kylie, Jackson, Garret, and Simone.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Donations may be made to any Horticultural Society. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
