Obituary of Ellen May Peterson

Ellen May Peterson (nee Chamberlin), born Nov. 26,1928 in Camden NJ died on May 27, 2017 in North Carolina at the age of 88. Ellen attended Hatch Junior High and Camden High Schools. Married in 1947 to Chester(Ray) Green. Son Kenneth R. born June 1947. She worked 33 years for Acme Markets as a weigher and wrapper in Pitman, Glassboro, and Clayton and retired in 1984. Predeceased by her husband Ralph Peterson in 2001, she moved to Calabash, NC in 2006 where she lived until here passing. She was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church and the Calabash Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed watching golf on TV and playing with our little dog Daisy. She was also predeceased by her sister Sarah Chamberlin, she has sisters Dorothy Bruesgen and Carol Hargrove living in Calif. Surviving son Kenny Green(Debbie), Stepchildren Linda(Foote) Cunard (Al), James Foote(Predeceased) Margerite, Allison Foote III, Nancy(Foote) Feldman(Mark), Ervin Foote(Barb), Beatrice(Foote) Goldsboro(Jim), and Ralph Peterson III (Janet), 16 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Friends may greet the family on Friday 7-9pm and Saturday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service wil be Saturday at 11am.
