I have great memories of doing summer salts on the hill at 29 Spruce - right across the street from our house at 26. I will always remember Janet throwing off her flipflop so my Dad could trace an outline of her footprint to carve into the back of the first totem pole. Janet had a good spirit and is fondly remembered and sadly missed.

I worked with Janet at Gateway. Many of us affectionately called her Huggy. She always greeted you with a big smile and would on occasion spontaneously give you a hug, too! Janet was one of a kind! We were all praying or otherwise rooting for her when she was first diagnosed with the brain tumor. I am happy that she was able to beat the odds and live a good many years after the diagnosis, but her life was still cut too short. My deepest condolences to the family. I will always remember her fondly with a big smile and a great deal of affection.
