Going back 45 years, I was professor, along with my late wife Joanne, in the Math department at Glassboro State, and I recall Dayton well. He was one of our best students, combining his talents in math/comp sci with a creative and constructive frame of mind to leverage what he learned and apply it to achieve a successful career and family life. More recently, I spoke with him by phone as he battled his condition. He had a very positive attitude and gave it his best effort. I also remember speaking with Wendy and experiencing a tremendous loving support for her husband. Looking back, Dayton was an enthusiastic supporter and participant of the Math/Comp Sci club -- his intense laugh especially comes to mind at the frequent gatherings. His Holiday card and letter was always the first one received by me and my late wife Joanne. Summing up, students like Dayton made teaching and enjoyable --a rewarding experience for myself, and, I'm sure, many of his teachers. Its the reason we teach.

I worked with Dayton at CSC in Moorestown, NJ for almost 20 years as a co-worker and as a manager. In either case, Dayton was a great friend and a wonderful person. We had a lot of laughs together through the years. I will miss him terribly.
