Obituary of Kathryn Mattiace

Kathryn Mattiace (nee Barbaro), age 102 years, died March 13 in Englewood, FL where she had resided for the past 28 years. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Clayton, NJ before moving to Florida. She was employed as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, soap operas, and John Wayne movies. Everyday she read 2 newspapers and did the crossword puzzles. Most of all she loved getting visits and phone calls from her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Frank Mattiace, her daughter Joan Moore, and brother Anthony Barbaro. Survived by her daughters; Shirley (Joseph R.) DiTaranto, and Frances (James R.) Maguire, son in law Herbert Moore, grandchildren; Joseph J. (Susan) DiTaranto, Kathy (Dean) Jones, Karen (Mark) Sheeper, David Moore and Ed Verrone, Kimberly Diamond, Sharon (Donald) Caruthers, Stacy (Michael) Lyssy, James Maguire, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 22 from 9:30 to 10:30AM in Mary Mother of Mercy Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 500 Greentree Rd, Glassboro, NJ. Funeral mass at 10:30AM.
