Dear Wolfgang ~ My thoughts have been with you and Gretel since before Christmas when I hadn't received a note from you both. I was afraid she might not be doing well. I did not learn of her death until this past Friday night. I am so sorry. Gretel was always so kind, sweet and good hearted. My mother enjoyed her friendship from the time we moved next door, the same year you did, until she died in 1985. My thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow and my memories of Gretel give me comfort as I'm sure yours do too. Love and prayers ~ Janet

Dear Wolfgang: We were saddened to hear of the passing of Gretel. She was a fine lady and the two of you were so special together. From my days as a 5 year old forward, the two of you were always a part of my family's life. Neighbors for many years and friends through many changes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you on Gretel's passing. She will be missed by many. We will be by to see you in the late summer. John & Cindy Vain
